Ingredient

1 kg leeks

2 tea cups SERA rice or bulgur

2 carrots

1 tea cup Riviera olive oil

1 medium size onion

1 dessertspoon SERA red pepper flakes

1 dessertspoon salt

1 teaspoon sugar

1,5 cup warm water

Preparation

Cut the tops of the leeks, wash them and chop them crosswise. Put Riviera olive oil in the pot. Fry finely chopped onions in the heated oil. When the onions are almost pink in color, add carrots chopped in circles and fry more. Add leeks in the pot and mix. Cook the mixture for 10 minutes. Then, add the rice washed a few times before. Add red pepper flakes, salt and sugar. Add 1,5 cup warm water. Cook 10 more minutes. . If you wish, to give some taste and liveliness to your dish, you can pour some extra virgin olive oil after it is cooked.
